AkzoNobel asked DGI to help ‘stretch’ the Dulux brand into the wallcoverings category with a range of feature wallpapers designed to co-ordinate perfectly with Dulux paint colours.
We created the brand identity for Dulux Feature Wallpaper and instore execution to achieve standout for Dulux in a new category.

Working with the AkzoNobel category team and a major DIY retailer, we developed a merchandising system and point of sale that effectively drives the link between the wallpaper and Dulux paint range to reinforcing the concept of ‘foolproof’ feature walls.

With a brief to inspire consumers to include a feature wall in their decorating scheme, our first task was to plan and design room set photography for the wallpaper range. The shots had to be aspirational yet accessible giving consumers confidence to create the look themselves.

We used the room sets in a whole series of communication material including consumer brochures, point of sale and press mailers.
